DCYP has been awarded the commission by Durham County Council for the Mobile Sexual Health Unit again, to visit areas in County Durham….call in for cuppa and chat it would be great to see you.
Ambition Quality Bronze Award
Durham City Youth Project was awarded the Ambition Quality Bronze quality mark. We were measured on 10 quality areas:
- Focus on young people
- Outcomes and impact for young people
- Diversity, equality and inclusion
- Staff and volunteers
- Premises, resources and health & safety
- Leadership, management and governance
- New ideas and improvements
Afternoon Tea, Pie and Peas Supper, Flower Arranging Demonstration and Christmas Lunch with the isolated and elderly residents of Framwellgate Moor. Our young volunteers from the Youth Council hosted these events…thanks to County Durham Community Foundation and #I Will for making this possible.
DCYP were fortunate enough to secure funding from Children In Need and Durham Area Action Partnership to make craft and food pack deliveries to 221 young people across County Durham.
Youth Council Christmas Deliveries
“Happy Christmas” to the people of Camsell Court. Each resident was given a gift and card from our Youth Council. This was made possible with funding from County Durham Community Foundation # I Will.
Durham AAP Covid Resilience funding and County Durham Community Foundation Covid 19 Sustainability funding has enabled DCYP to purchase a new database Upshot. This enables Durham City Youth Project to adhere to Covid secure procedures and provides greater flexibility when meeting young people on detached. Upshot records membership details, session outcomes which are used by funders and helps us to identify the areas of County Durham we are supporting with youth services.
DCYP donated 8 laptops to the Donate Digital appeal which aims to end Digital Poverty by upgrading laptops and giving them to schools to give to children most in need.
