You don't have to work it out on your own
Asking for help isn't a weakness – it's a positive step towards looking after yourself. You don't need to have a diagnosis or wait until things become a crisis to reach out.
We work alongside young people to help them understand their feelings, build confidence, develop ways of coping and make positive changes at their own pace.
Whether you need someone to talk to, some practical support or simply want to understand more about your mental health, we're here to listen.
Talk to us. You might be surprised how much a conversation can help.
Feeling stressed? Anxious? Low? Overwhelmed?
You’re not alone. Mental health can affect anyone, and there are lots of reasons you might not be feeling yourself.
You don't have to have all the answers before you ask for help. We're here to listen.

Everyone has mental health
Being young can be exciting, but it can also come with challenges. There might be times when you feel anxious, stressed, low or overwhelmed – or when things just don't feel right.
You might be dealing with anxiety, depression, low mood, panic, low self-esteem, loneliness, stress or worries about relationships, family, school, college or the future. Sometimes you might not even know exactly what's wrong – you just know you're not feeling like yourself.
Whatever you're experiencing, it's OK to talk about it.
At Durham Healthy Minds, we give young people a safe, friendly and non-judgemental space to talk, be listened to and get support.
